The code enforcement officer may grant an extension of the time limit for compliance if the code enforcement officer deems the person responsible has shown due diligence and/or substantial progress in correcting the violation but circumstances render full and timely compliance under the original conditions unattainable. Such request shall be made in writing prior to the stated time limit for compliance and clearly establish the need for the extension. Such grant of an extension for time does not create a new appeal period for the underlying enforcement action. (Ord. 3901-22 § 2 (Exh. A), 2022.)
