It shall be the responsibility of any person installing a drain, or making a side sewer connection, alteration, repair and/or extension thereof, for which a permit is required, to notify that the work has been completed and is ready for inspection before backfilling. Upon receiving such notice the inspector shall, within one work day following notice, or such additional time as may be reasonably necessary, inspect the same, and such work must be made in the manner prescribed in this chapter and to the satisfaction of the inspector before trench is backfilled.
