A. The city council shall have its regular meeting for the transaction of all business of the council, including but not limited to the adoption of all resolutions and ordinances, on Wednesday of each and every week between the hours of eight a.m. and eleven fifty-nine p.m. If Wednesday falls on a legal holiday, then the council shall meet on the following day to transact business. On the following week, the council shall meet on Thursday in addition to the regular Wednesday meeting to consider only ordinances and resolutions originally presented at the previous Thursday meeting. If there is no business to consider, the meeting shall not be held.

B. The aforementioned meetings of the city council may be recessed or adjourned from time to time as deemed expedient or desirable in order to properly transact the business of the city. (Prior code § 1.08.010.)
