The board of park commissioners is authorized to establish subcommittees for the purpose of assisting the board in fulfilling its responsibility to advise the mayor, city council, department of parks and recreation and other city departments with respect to park and recreation matters. These subcommittees shall be advisory to the board. At least one board member shall be assigned to each subcommittee; however, no more than three board members may be assigned to any one subcommittee. Appointments to any subcommittee shall be by the mayor with council approval. Subcommittees shall not be subject to the provisions of Article V of the Charter. (Ord. 2150-96 § 1, 1996.)
