There is established the council of neighborhoods which shall be composed of not to exceed two representatives from each neighborhood. The terms of the members shall be in accordance with Section 5.2 of the charter of the city. The council shall be a duly recognized advisory board pursuant to Chapter 2.76 and shall be advisory to the mayor. The responsibilities of the council shall include but not be limited to the following:

A. To make recommendations concerning the tools and resources needed for planning and development of the various neighborhoods;

B. To make recommendations concerning plans, regulations and programs needed to suit the diverse character and development patterns of the various neighborhoods;

C. To make recommendations concerning intercity departmental responses to neighborhood problems and concerns;

D. To encourage constructive settlement of disputes involving neighborhood groups, the city and prospective land use applicants;

E. To make recommendations as to the budget for the office of neighborhoods; and

F. To perform such other advisory tasks as may be prescribed by the mayor. (Ord. 2024-94 § 1, 1994; Ord. 1682-90 § 5, 1990.)
