A. There is established an office of neighborhoods within the general fund which shall be responsible for neighborhood planning and assistance purposes and shall be included as part of the regular budget process. For the initial year of operation, 1990, there is appropriated a sum of one hundred fifty-eight thousand, three hundred eighty-five dollars to be expended for salaries, benefits and all maintenance and operations.

B. Expenditures by the office of neighborhoods shall comply with all applicable provisions of the state constitution, state law, city charter and ordinances of the city, and shall be made from appropriations authorized by the council.

C. The finance director will provide city budget information in a format which segregates expenditures for block grant, capital and general budgets consistent with the city’s accounting and budgeting procedures. (Ord. 1682-90 § 8, 1990.)
