A. In the event of the absence from the city or during the disability of the commissioner of finance the commissioner of public works shall be authorized to sign all warrants of the city in the place of the commissioner of finance during such absence or disability, and in the event of the absence from the city or during the disability of both the commissioner of finance and the commissioner of public works the commissioner of safety shall be authorized to sign city warrants during such absence or during such disability of both of such officers.

B. In the event of the absence from the city or during the disability of the city clerk the deputy city clerk shall be authorized to sign city warrants in the place of the city clerk during such absence or disability. (Prior code § 1.64.050.)
