It is recognized that city council members and the mayor are prohibited by state law from benefiting from the sale or disposal of the public assets of the city. Any city employee or city elected official involved in the decision to sell or dispose of a city asset, or involved in administering the sale or disposition of a city asset, shall not benefit from the sale or disposition of such asset.
