It shall be the responsibility of the director of parks and recreation to supervise the planting, maintenance and removal of all trees on all streets, rights-of-way, and city-owned public property within the city limits in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. This chapter does not regulate trees located on city property within the watershed at Lake Chaplain which trees are under the exclusive jurisdiction and administration of the public works director.
