46.65.020 Use by neighborhood groups.
Neighborhood groups recognized as members of the council of neighborhoods, are authorized to use the speed monitoring device(s) under the following conditions:
1. The neighborhood group shall submit for approval by the traffic engineer a use program, designating the specific location or locations where the device will be used, time of use, specifying person(s) to have custody of the device and other details as may be required by the traffic engineer.
2. Only persons trained to use the device by the traffic engineer, or his/her designee, shall use the device.
3. Said groups shall follow the procedures established in Section 46.65.020; provided that said groups shall be exempted from the insurance/hold harmless requirements. (Ord. 1717-90 § 2, 1990.)
