The initial appointment of the members, by the mayor, shall be for the following terms: one member for a one-year term; one for a two-year term; one for a three-year term; one for a four-year term; one for a five-year term; and two for a six-year term. Thereafter, the term of office for each commissioner shall be for a six-year term. Terms shall end on the last day of the respective calendar year even though this shortens or extends slightly the initial appointment. (Prior code § 1.88.030.)
